The opportunities are for short-term stays (3-6 months), but extensions can be considered upon mutual interest and funding availability. The selected participants will be offered a monthly stipend (US$2,000.00 for graduates; US$3,000.00 for post-docs), health insurance and return air-ticket (Country of origin-San Diego, CA). Graduate candidates must be enrolled in and pursuing studies (M.D. or Ph.D.) at a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution in their Country of origin. Post-doctoral candidates must have obtained their Ph.D. within the past 3 years. Although no restriction will be imposed upfront in relation to the candidates’ current research project, preference will be given to candidates working on subjects with evident affinity with LJBI’s Malaria Program and that will more likely benefit of the stay.
